To coincide with the 20th anniversary of 911, the exhibition will feature a series of profound, editorial style portraits of the first responders. Taken during a series of short interviews in New York City in 2019 and 2020, the aim of this project is to share, with humility and grace, the responders' journeys of pain and strength, resilience and long-term healing since the tragedy.
The minimalist, black and white photographs strip away unnecessary distractions and focus on the emotions each responder felt while reflecting on their memories. Each image acts as compelling way to connect and empathise with the people impacted by the needless destruction of the Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001.
